Over three days, the Summit will explore how leaders can: Build adaptive, future-ready institutions Strengthen cross-sector and cross-border collaboration Rethink risk, governance, and decision-making Inspire systemic transformation across the philanthropic ecosystem This year’s theme invites participants to architect a more resilient, equitable, and innovative future for global philanthropy, while celebrating GPF’s 25th anniversary, marking a quarter-century of advancing collaboration, equity, and impact.

East Africa Philanthropy Conference
Hosted by East Africa Philanthropy Network (EAPN)
The East Africa Philanthropy Conference is the annual convergence point where the region’s philanthropic ecosystem confronts its most consequential questions across three registers: the perennial challenges that anchor the sector’s identity and recur because they are never fully resolved, the cyclical dynamics that reshape possibilities and priorities in multi-year waves, and the emergent disruptions that demand immediate collective response. Convening more than 600 delegates from over 30 countries annually, the Conference engineers encounters between actors who rarely occupy the same room: philanthropy leaders, private sector executives, government officials, civil society leaders, impact investors deploying catalytic capital, diaspora philanthropists and regional integration bodies, established leaders and the next generation preparing to inherit both resources and responsibility, researchers producing evidence, and media shaping narrative. The Conference is an infrastructure for alignment: where the sector names what it is collectively facing, builds the relational architecture required to respond, and continuously strengthens philanthropy’s position as essential to whatever transformation the region is navigating.
